The Millionaire Year will focus on four sections of education:
1. General Income Management
2. The Millionaire Mindset
3. Investing
4. Network Marketing/Other Streams of Income
This education will come primarily from printed material (i.e. books, articles, online information) and experiential learning (in the form of seminars and taking action in the various portfolio quadrants).
I, like many Americans I know, have checking and savings accounts, credit cards (plus debt), student loans, and a mortgage. I even have a monthly rent payment now because I am not living in my mortgaged home. There is the electricity, the groceries, the charity donations, the rock climbing gym membership, etc to pay for. Somehow it has to be easier than living paycheck to paycheck which is how I typically did it. The critical factor right now is that I don’t even have a paycheck! I was laid off earlier this year and, thankfully, have a severance to get me through the next 6 months or so. The thing is, I have no interest in returning to corporate America. For me, seven years was enough. I am far more interested in doing other things. So you see, there is a sense of urgency (not stress, mind you) to my personal Millionaire Year challenge.
I don’t know a thing about investing, the real estate market is certainly NOT in my favor right now and I don’t currently have any income. Sounds ridiculous to consider a million in a year right? My goal, as I mentioned before, is to be a student of wealth. You can too! Stay tuned…
I’ve taken the following thoughts from Mary Anne Radmacher as the guiding wisdom for The Millionaire Year:
live with intention.
walk to the edge.
listen hard.
practice wellness.
play with abandon.
laugh.
choose with no regret.
continue to learn.
appreciate your friends.
do what you love.
live as if this is all there is.
This site is still taking shape, but as of today, July 1, The Millionaire Year is on.
What is it?
The Millionaire Year was developed in response to a common thread arising during personal coaching sessions. The bottom line? My clients wanted to learn how to make more money, become wise investors and devote their time and energy to the people and interests they choose.
My personal goal:
Make more to give more. I’ve been involved in charity work since jr. high. I have built houses with Habitat for Humanity, tutored kids in Denver’s inner-city and visited the children I sponsor in Kenya. My friends will tell you that I encourage them all to get involved and donate their time, expertise or money to important causes. I absolutely believe that when we give, the universe gives back.
